  5. Always keep a car as long as possible, as you know what you have replaced, and you know it had regular maintenance, Unless its a Lemon, and you keep throwing money at it

  6. I noticed the Registration Sticker, We no longer have then in Australia as all police cars are fitted with so much tech equipment,
Number Plate Recognition is their Favourite at the moment, Police drive around car parks with the camera and get you, or on the side of the road and rack up heaps of fines
Bad thing is No sticker, i do not remember when its due, What a government scam hey

  7. I've never understood why Scotty dislikes Infinitis so much. I've owned three G35/37s and I've only had to change the oil, brakes and tires. Their V6 engines from the 2000s through mid 2010s are solid, but Scotty frequently groups them with the poor quality CVT models.

  8. Got a 08 G37 coupe with a 6 Speed MT with 110,000 miles on it and it runs great. Don’t plan on giving up on it any time soon.

  10. That is what happens when you don't have anyone to share your car with: it becomes an annex of your garage or stockroom.

  11. The Infiniti G35/37 cars were excellent cars overall and very reliable. I had one for 10 years with very few issues. The engine and transmission were solid. Absolutely no failures at all with the electronics ever! Can't say the same for the German rivals!

  12. I just picked up a 1992 Honda Civic with 240,000 miles for $525. First foreign I've ever owned and I have to admit I'm impressed.

  13. Never owned a Nissan, but as the old saying goes, it's the loose nut behind the wheel that causes all the problems.

  14. That car can easily go up to 200k no problems i had my g37 coupe go 170k miles with nothing but abuse only maintenance i did was spark plugs, oil changes, and valve cover gaskets

  15. So she didn't drive it like she stole it? Well they are designed for regular use on the road. Good for her paying it off and taking well care of the car. I hope she does gets many more miles out of that car

  16. It’s too bad a lot of people don’t keep up with the basic maintenance on cars it’s not that expensive I’ve had a car that was 15 years old and it ran like a clock, now I got something different and it still runs with no problems. The secret is maintaining it.

  17. Random Fact: Bell & whistles dates back to the old novelty circus organs that had all sorts of bells and whistles added to draw you in and get your attention. Basically, salesmen use it so they could get you in and could pencil whip the brakes off of you.

  23. Well I'm in good luck. Just bought a Grandma owned 2008 g35 with 33k miles. It's in perfect condition. I can tell she was the only driver as well. She literally used it for shopping and church! Lol. I scored!

  24. I don't know why you don't like these cars. Infiniti makes one of the most reliable used luxury cars you can buy. I have the coupe version and have had very few problems. I would recommend these to anyone at least its not a BMW or Mercedes. I agree the Lexus cars may hold up a little better over time especially cosmetically but their cars aren't as fun or desirable. Infiniti is the only used fun fast luxury car you can buy used and drive problem free for years. Im gunna keep my g37 as long as I can mine only has 65,000 miles

  25. Hey Scotty…I'm looking at a 2006 Toyota Avalon Limited and a 2009 Honda Accord EXL both with 140K miles priced right at $5K. Do you have a recomendation on which might be a better buy or longer lasting vehilce?

  27. I have a 2004 350Z for a weekend road race car, and the 350Z/370Z/G35/G37 all have valve cover sealing problems. I pulled my spark plugs on my 350Z and found boatloads of oil in the spark plug hole, mainly in the passenger side (which is the problem side). To change them, half the engine comes apart. You can get 2 new valve covers with gaskets from Z1 Motorsports for cheap. Then, I added an oil catch can while Iwas in there.

  29. I just UNLOADED my LEMON 2006 G35 with 121k miles. Already had the transmission changed at 60k under warranty, and was downshifting hard around 35 mph, would stall at slow speeds, and would leak water from the water diverters on the roof to my wheel well. Water and electronics not such a good combination.

I loved the way the car drove and would have kept it forever but that was too many negatives for me. Couldn't even let me wife drive it in fear of it stalling at an intersection and losing power steering while she tries to figure out the restart procedures.

  33. After seeing how reliable and trouble free this actual used Infiniti is, you still won't recommended it to interested buyers.

    Something's wrong there.

Only Toyota's can qualify for your endorsement?
