What do people really think of our electric car? I UNITI UPDATE 14

Time is flying at Uniti! The car is coming together, we hosted a big Open House at our headquarters, and launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on our own website – all at the same time! Find more information about the campaign here

We opened our doors to the headquarters for visitors from near and far to learn more about Uniti, get to know the team and test all our technology prototypes. At the Open House event, we took visitors on a unique VR experience and invited them to hit our CEO Lewis Horne with all their questions. It was an awesome day full of positive energy – Thanks again to all the visitors!

After a sprint to get everything ready on time, we launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on our own website with a big bang. This is your last chance to become a shareholder in Uniti by making an investment from only 145 SEK (about 15€). And make sure you don’t miss the campaign video:

As the end of the year is coming closer, the countdown to finalize our first evaluation prototype has started! All the CAD-modelling has been finalized with the support of ÅF Consult, a world-leading Swedish engineering company. Different components of the car arrived from Swedish and Danish manufacturers such as the exterior panels and the curved windows. All these parts go through our internal quality control process to make sure they have been manufactured exactly how we designed them. For that reason we installed a hexagon laser scanner that can measure the exact details of surfaces down to 20 microns. We are exploring different finishes for the car’s exterior, for example vinyl-sheets that are not only more effective, but also more sustainable because we can recycle all panels at the end of their lifecycle.

We are also planning the big launch event that is coming up soon! So stay tuned – everyone is invited!

  1. I love your work uniti /Lowis and the team
But I am not OK with replaceing the liquid paint
Its OK to be innovative but paint is so reliable and commonly used
Iam living in Egypt in winter temperature could be as low as -1 and as high as 45 in summer
Replaceing the paint with a new in tested material isn't ok

  2. Hi Guys!
    Glad to see you again.

The only bad news is the quality of 3D surfaces.

  5. Nice to see this update, and looks like it would have been fun to attend the demo day. I have invested through the crowd source campaign, unfortunately though I haven't received much in response – except a general receipt for the purchase and an invite to the CrowdWorks site. Looking forward to follow the development and hope I will have the opportunity to attend the launch show. Will investors be invited to the event?

  8. Smart med film på lacken. Många taxibolag har det, när de sedan säljer bilarna och tar av den här filmen är de som splitter nya i lacket, riktigt grymt!

  9. That's ridiculous. Not a single graybeard in the team.
Do you really think you can develop a car with a combined engineering experience of 100 hours? You should have a bite from the humble pie and hire some engineers that developed cars since the eighties.

  10. I saw the finished product and it is amazing, can't wait to have one but the question is: when we will see it here in America? For under $20,000 I am in. Congratulations and you guys should get a electric car awards.
