  2. Sounds great Scotty…except I have 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara and rear plate is bottom left of bumper and work line up properly.

  3. Maby striking GM workers will have time to install one in their car. The nerve of GM management expecting people to work for $63.00 an hour… wait a minute, thinking, Scotty gets $100.00 an hour; I thought $20.00 an hour was good. What do I know? Caveat: 63 includes benefits; industry average is 50…

  4. Just be careful with state laws. When I lived in Missouri it was illegal to cover up the state and motto even partially. Now did officers really enforce it? No not really unless you peeved them off or a trooper pulled you over for a headlight or taillight and they weren’t in that great a mood.

  5. I don't want a backup system. It's just one more thing to break. Oh and god gave me eyes. They seem to work really well regardless.

  6. Hey Scotty I couldn’t find that back up camera anywhere that was solar power and I checked a lot of sites where did you get yours

  7. Cool backup camera very slick. I don't know about your theft problem in your state of Texas but here in Albuquerque NM they'll steal anything even if it's bolted on.

  8. I am in the market for a backup camera solution. Your timing is perfect; I'll take your recommendation. Thank You!

  9. only 1 flaw. some states are Anal about u covering the text on the plate. it doesnt hide the bar code (right side) but the state tag is cut. ive had a friend get a ticket as he had a plate cover that hide basically what this 1 does and it was 45 buck fine. so much for that baseball plate cover.
for that cam to be 100 + bucks it better be good lol.

  10. Who would pay a mechanic to install that? You just unscrew the license plate plate and plug the screen into the power supply Lol 😂

  12. Buying. Now, how about a video on HOW to wire something like this into our fuse box for us newbies? Thanks Scotty!

  13. Sounds great for sunny Texas, but up here in the Pacific Northwest? It'd work for four months out of the year at best.

  14. I don't think I could ever get used to looking at a camera instead of slinging my arm over the passenger seat and looking back.
You know for all the new tech in cars today it sure hasn't helped to make for better driver's… Lol

  15. So how the camera detects you in reverse? Seems like you didnt think it thru scotty 😏. The check was nice. It's not a back up camera but more like a security camera 😂

  16. Just have to make sure it fits on the plate recess, some cars have a tight border and a deep well around where the plate sits, I wonder if there's any information on the margin of space you'd need around it? If you park in the shade a lot, it probably comes up short too. Also that'd make more sense for minivans or trucks than some small sedan or coupe where the back window visibility is usually good enough. (Although I suppose it's handy if you do a lot of parallel parking and need to see right next to the rear bumper.)

So as neat and good as it seems, might not work for everyone.

  18. Wiring IS the problem with traditional versions. Good Grief I'm not going to worry about theft of something like THAT, I'm not going to remove or protect it.

  22. Scotty: backup cameras are required now. Even the cheapest new cars have them (Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Versa, etc.)
