  1. The cannondale supersix had two models this year, in the spring they were one the old model and in the tour they switched to the new model.

  2. Let’s push some “disk brakes” comments regardless road bikes are intended to pedal forward/upward and mostly dry weather. 😂

  3. It looks like the editor of this video is still in Holiday Mood. Small mistakes in the graphics Canyon Ultimate CF SLX is No 6, but the graphics showed it as No 7 (2:43) and Pinarello Dogma F12 is at No 5, but the graphics showed it as No 6 (3:16).

  4. Whatever people say about Specialized they really moved to the top of teams so apparently they must have won everything well above anybody else. Money makes money

  5. Have you seen this guy yet? I'd like to have one of his pieces in my yard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPnE8tTCUZo

  6. More interested in wins/results per appearance – "rarer" bikes (Scott, Ridley, etc) have fewer opportunities to win!

  7. This is heavily biased to the number of riders that are sponsored to ride the bike. The points need to be normalised by dividing by the number of sponsored riders per bike and possibly even the total world tour ranking of those riders. Would be interested to see which bike comes top then…

  9. Shouldn't this be titled Best Race Bike, as a chubby mamil none of these would be the best road bike, maybe a bmc roadmachine

  10. And I thought Tom Last's favorite climb was Muro de Aia… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkGn-17Hw20&t=130s

  11. I loved the sound effects at the end when Jon mentioned that all the wins on the specialized bikes were performed on disc brakes. I run rim brake on my race bike but I'm not fanatical 😆. World champs this year was also won on disc brake

  12. In order to have an equal battlefield over caliper vs disc we must acknowledge the fact Specialized strictly provided BORA and Quickstep with disc brake bikes. Nothing sells better than whatever the pros are riding ; )

  13. Bit of a mistake in the top 10, Bernal won the TdF on a f12 XLIGHT, not a normal f12, as u made the distinction last year between a Normal Venge and Venge Vias, this should also be counted differently!

  14. Thanks, Jon, I always look forward to this list of winningest bikes as determined by the GCN SuperNiceComputer powered by GCN Secret Sauce. And we need to hear more from that guy who sounded off when you mentioned discs. Everyone deserves a voice.

  15. 1. Make all pro-tour riders ride disc brakes

    4. Claim discs are better and profit

  16. F12 didnt go no1 is because Froome was injured. This video is kind of pointless as its whatever rider rides what that makes the list

  17. cycling is 90% engine, 10% equipment. If you got no engine, then no amount of equipment will make up for it.

  22. I find the whole concept of “the best road bike” stupid. Because if MvdP hadn’t raced on Canyon Aeroad he wouldn’t win?? Or if Roglic woudn’t be on Biachi he wouldn’t win?? Apparently for winning, bikes are much more important as the riders.

  23. #askgcntech Hi guys, it’s sale time in the uk and I’m in a bit of a quandary, do I buy last years bike with Ultegra Di2, comes with a power meter and nice carbon wheel set with RIM brakes or this tears bike, mechanical Ultegra, same wheels, no power meter but has DISC brakes for the same cost?

I’ve never ridden carbon wheels in the wet but heaps of pros do so surely it can’t be that bad???

Bike in question is a Giant propel Advanced pro 0, would appreciate your opinion on di2 and meter v disc brakes.

  25. Even for GCN, quite possibly the biggest load of bollocks I've seen for some time. Are you seriously suggesting that the stunning victories achieved by all manner of riders would not have happened if they'd been competing on different bikes?

  27. Amazing that the most expensive bike in the peloton doesn’t even make the top 10? Maybe that Cervelo S5 is overrated/overpriced 🤔
