  8. I own and drive regularly, a 2013 VW CC 2.0 litre turbo sport. I have gone head to head bumper to bumper with Challenger V8's. It's not about cubic inches anymore. And my XENON light system is off the charts.

  9. yesterday I crashed my cobra (a little bit): in a corner almost get hit by a car who should have gave me way. when I tried to avoid the accident by hitting the accelerator pedal hard, I realized too late that was a huge mistake, because in a split second I had a snap oversteer. Damaged a rim and some paint but everybody is okay thank god. (I drive that cobra for about a year as almost a daily routine, and a split second of inattention and I was just lucky to have empty road and not to hit somebody)

  16. clearly you haven't driven the xk220 because it was in fact a very easy car to drive the only complaint I had was brake fade after three stops from 150.
The Robin was a great car with the fourth wheel option.

  17. Any car without a windshield (and safety glas). Does not matter if it has a roll cage or not. I was driving once a Lotus Super Seven without windshield (but with cage) on the Nürburgring. No windshield because racing. Everything was fine. The car feeled great. I had a helmet, so I was not worrying much about the lack of protection.I was approaching to an old Porsche 911, was close behind, and I wanted to overtake him, but suddenly the Porsche lost his clutch and bits and pieces came from this car, inpacting literally in my face. I was okay because of the helmet, but a chunk of metal hit me with high velocity on the shoulder. I lost almost control because from this (no ABS, no traction control), my shoulder hurting very bad… I managed to stop the car without issues, climbing out of the car and get behind the fence. Then I waited till the medics showed up: Fracture in the shoulder. Could not move my arm for weeks!

  19. Ahahaha, my first car was a blue 1998 Kia Sephia. It was terrible but great. Awesome fuel economy, I got into a couple of accidents (not my fault) including a head on collision with a Honda Accord. It happened in SF and I drove home to sacramento with a misfire, the Honda had to be towed. I was later rear ended by a Honda Civic and it had a blown radiator and had to be towed, I drove away with just an exhaust leak. The thing wouldn’t die. RIP Sephia.

I just finishing a 1978 Corvette replaced the 185 hp with a 725 hp/496ci BBChevy, roll cage, no wipers, no ac/heater, striped 600 lbs off, hooker SS header side pipes, dual stage3 NOS 200+200hp. Racing seats, no radio, no speedometer, lots of gauges, trans brake, stall, lex windows, Mickey Thompson DOT drag slicks 28-12.5-15 and moroso skinnys up front. Moroso drag race shocks. I wonder why so many of these new parts had the stupid label in bold letters? NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE !!! They just peel off except for front tires. It'll be fine I have a handicap tag on the car. There is no decals on the car and left off the rear spoiler so it will be very safe and fun to drive. Can't wait to go for drive in the Smokey Mountains bet it'll be a Hoot! Merry Christmas everyone!!! True story, think I may put my AARP sticker in rear window! From Buford Georgia 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Love the video and best car is always SCARY! Come test drive my grocery get her done car!

  25. Sounds as if they are not very good drivers, if you exceed the design specifications of any vehicle then that’s what we call natural selection. As for rolling a reliant, it’s possible to roll any vehicle if you’re stupid enough to go round a corner too fast.

  31. RE: The GT500

Of course they melted the brakes on a road course. They come with performance STREET pads. OEM's always use some variant of organic pads because they have relatively low dusting, don't make much if any noise, and work really well under most spirited street driving conditions. Take organic pads on a road course and you're going to melt them, as they're just not designed for that kind of continuous heat load. They put user friendly pads on these cars because most of them will never see a race track and the folks buying them want it to "just work" on the street. The brake calipers up front ARE legitimate 6 piston Brembos, but the pads aren't up to track duty. Put a good semi-metalic pad like some G-loc or Carbotechs and the problem is solved. As for the smaller 1 piston caliper out back, it's not a problem because most of the braking on this car is done by the fronts.

I guarantee you could take almost any performance car from any automaker that isn't built for track duty from the factory and melt the brakes on them too. Matt knows this of course but for whatever reason chose to gloss over that detail.

  32. If you include racing cars you could include the Ford RS 200 rally car. That was meant to be a crazy car to drive. I think I read somewhere that it had once that killed some spectators who were watching a rally.

  33. If you ever see the film Gumball Rally, from the late 70s, one of the teams of two drives an AC Cobra. Hopefully not a crazy AC Cobra like you guys describe.

  35. When Clarkson rolled the Robin so easy is because they modified it to do so. But still is a bad car but wouldn't roll that easily.
