  1. Had no idea you had a calculator like this definitely gonna be cool to try out! Also really like the update emails you do (so please continue them). I already saw how you did in this race on insta; the video is gonna be EPIC!

  3. Hey Taren, great job on the race this weekend! I was curious about the rear (saddle) mount bike water bottle you have there. I'm looking to buy one and have seen people complaining about bottles flying out of the cages during rides. Have you experienced that? Would you mind sharing what brand/model you are using and if you like it?

  4. In my 17 years doing triathlons I think the best way to get my nutrition during a race is to eat twinkies. They have the perfect amount of carbs.

  6. I was waiting for those extensions come into the market for over a year. Also, what is your plan for spares?

  7. Uuuhhhh I’ve been waiting for those extensions for sooo long! But over 200€ including shipping and then paying a hell of a lot of taxes on them when they arrive… I can’t decide…

  8. You consider training on a different bike? Lionel Sanders did an interview with Global Triathlon Network the other day, and had rust issues due to salt bits falling down into the bike, getting wet, and dusting components. Just looking out for ya’! Good tips!

  10. Scody looks like nice stuff but it seems like they only ship to those Winnipeg Canadians. 🙁

  11. Taren, a couple questins:
Do you really need all that nutrition for an Olympic or are you just practicing for the IM 70.3?
Are there any balance issues switching to the bar extensions vs. the original set-up?
Best of luck – I'm sure you'll crush it!

  12. Question…. What do you eat during long bike? Gels are getting expensive. Awesome Channel. Thanks!

  13. Those bars are great but over priced for amateurs. I will try to have a similar one custom-hand-made in a friend's metal workshop and tape it. Voilà.

  14. Hey Taren, what kind of mount are you suing there? Is it Garmin compatible and does it happen to have a GoPro mount below as well?

  15. You need to do a video on bicycle rim depth and how you feel about carbon wheel braking.

  18. Q: I’m curious to why you’ll swim carrying gels only to eat them in T1. Is it to consume between the water and the transition zone? Seems they might get hot and squished or poke you in the back with the wetsuit pressing against them.

  19. God that color scheme is ugly. Yet, I’d probably purposely go for something way ugly like a brown/olive/orange/yellow motif lol… Think the Brady Bunch. However, that bike is still bad ass 😀 I bet it looks way better at 30mph though 🙂 So how did you change everything from the stock black/red? Just discovered your channel… Good stuff and production, man.
