My psychology and philosophy behind bicycle touring, bikepacking, and wild camping

I get into the psychology and philosophy of my bicycle touring and wild camping. This is the ‘why’ in adventure travel.

Sharper eyed viewers may notice I’ve used some old footage for this video. This was some of the earliest footage I’d shot, but because I had to process it with Windows Movie Maker at the time, it didn’t turn out too well. So I wanted to see what it would look like using Sony Vegas Pro 14.

Hope you enjoy seeing how I bimble about, figuring out why we do what we do using history, anthropology, and psychology.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask, please leave them in the comments below, and I’ll get to them in a future video. Thanks for watching, and don’t forget to like, share and subscribe if you want in on the chance to win the Gerber Gator machete!

  1. What draws you to bikepacking, bicycle touring, or wild camping? Or what DON'T you like about these things?

  2. Have you ever seen the movie In to the Wild? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_the_Wild_(film) both you and your background music made me think of this movie – worth a watch, if just for the music!
