  2. Markets show that Nissan has a higher % of vehicles over 200k…… Countless Altima and Maxima Vehicles are on the market…..

I do not think I would advise anyone purchase an American made vehicle… They cheap on all of the small things, resulting in shorter vehicle reliability…… Cheap shocks, cheap ball joints, thinner metal, etc….. Those Chevy Avalanche vehicles for example…… What are those things? Everything is plastic….. "A plastic Truck?" You don't see very many of those still on the road, they all fell apart….

Over the years, they wanted to increase profits and lower production cost, so they put plastic bumpers on all vehicles, made thinner metal, did away with 'solid steel', instead went to pressed layering of cheaper metals, etc……. You have to love American investors…… The 'Gold Rush' is on…… Just digging a giant hole for American industry and productivity…… Who now says "Proudly made in America", no one………. I think when people think 'quality', they think German or Japanese, mostly……

And another thing, England….. What the Hell do they contribute to the World?

Nevermind….. I was just thinking about the Wars and what the 'Victors' gave to society…….. Looks like the 'Winners' are all 'Losers'?

But they have put in place a Murderous regime of War and destruction for Oil or that blood money………..

    Ok, ok…… I hear you……. Enough Politics…….

  3. My dad has had lots of gms and had no problems and same with Nissan there way better then you say. Ac is a common failure on dodges and almost every manufacturer

  4. So according to Scotty( who knows what he's talking about) Toyota is the most reliable car brand…but he didn't even consider talking about the Euro Manufacturers because they are terrible…so where does this leave the new Supra….I'm mean Toyota something to do with the Supra right?

  5. This is the first I’ve ever heard anyone say Nissan is bad. I used to have an Altima I put more miles on that than my ex girlfriend. No problems with it whatsoever trusty as could be

  6. Sorry Scotty I disagree with you saying GM is junk that's all I have ever driven and my wife has a 2014 Chevy Malibu 70,000 miles on it we bought it brand new and I have never had any problems and its not just with that malibu every GM Vehicle i buy never has let me down ever that's my opinion and the worst manufacturer to me Ford i would rather walk then drive anything Ford makes all they do is fall apart and nickel and dime you every payday but everyone has brand so I was telling you what I liked and disliked

  8. Fords are garbage!!! I owned 1 it was garbage… will never own another ford shame on me for owning 1 in the first place

  9. Scotty is blowing smoke, I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant and so far with over 125,000 miles I never have to do any major work except for normal maintenance and wear and tear. Car still run like new. So a few months back I went and bought another Mitsubishi. Stuff that Scotty.

  10. I'm 57, and of nine vehicles I've personally owned the WORST is my 2010 Ford Fusion. I can't count how many things have broken or gone wrong with it. Two recalls where I was not driving the thing for a total of about one year. Cheapo everywhere, despite the padding and sound insulation.
It was the first, and last, Ford for me.

  11. I love my Toyota 4 runner limited. But I always look forward to driving the Chevrolet Corvette on nice weather days. Both great bang for the buck. One is practical one is fun.

  12. Scott what do you think of Saturns. I personally love mine and don’t understand why they went out of business. Any opinions on that?

  13. In Canada Mazdas, especially mazda 3, fall apart, engines and transmissions are great but the winter eats their body like no other car. Yes, hondas and toyotas are the best cars. They do over 300 000km with no problems. I had a 99 accord, did over 320 000km with it ALL original parts on it. Yes i changed the suspension after 200 000km+, but those are just parts that wear out. After that i sold it to a guy who did another 100 000km with it. Now i own a '11 wrx, it has over 170 000km, no problems so far :). And in my opinion if you want your car to last, drive it, if its parked it rusts.

  15. Funny I have owned a 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander and a 2010 Nissan Altima owned them for 12 and 9 years respectively in frigid cold Alberta Canada> Never had one ounce of trouble from them both. Purchased them both brand new and other than an oil change every 5000 km I never spent a dollar on them or had anything break. Now I've owned a Ford F150 and Edge and thats another story they were complete junk.

  16. Cant believe he put FORD over NISSAN I've never had a problem with my Nissan Altima just had to change spark plugs and oil changes, basic stuff! Nissans are really good reliable cars I have a 08 and has 155,000 miles on it no problem at all.

  17. I own a 2015 frontier 4.0 v6 5 spd auto runs great. Did a lot of research b4 i bought and its a great truck at a great price. Taco's and 'rados are overpriced and now they keep getting bigger and more expensive in the name of safety right. My wife has a '17 kia soul got it brand new, she doesn't drive much it works great. Do your own research make your own decision

  19. Nissan Frontier, 175,000 miles. Changed oil every 3,000 miles, trans every 30,000 miles. Still running great.

  21. Some European cars like the mkv GTI and Porsche Cayman s gen2 Will last forever. I did 200k in the golf and after the missus crashed it bought another. The Porsche has done 120k and only needed a new fuel pump so far. I’ll drive these two vehicles for another 10/15 years at least, I’m sure!

  22. Hey Scotty, Houston fan here. Thanks for this list. My wife and I were leaning to Toyota for our next car and your recommendation helps greatly. What are your thoughts on the Sienna? We’re needing a minivan for our family.

  24. I've owned a LOT of cars in my life and the Toyota and Honda ones have been the most reliable hands down. I had a BMW that was pretty bulletproof, too, up until 145k when I sold it. My Toyota trucks and cars have all been completely worry-free.

  25. Don't forget about the little automatic transmission issue Honda had between 1997 and 2006 though. (Civic and Accord).

  26. It's crazy, I have a 2009 Nissan Frontier 6 spd 4.0 4×4 that has been essentially bulletproof, but I'd never buy a Nissan again. No real complaints, but I feel like that thing could tank at any given moment.

  27. Hmm maybe my darts the lucky one or maintinence is just super important in dodge but shes runnin up to 100k nothing but oil changes and spark plugs and replace crap dealer battery maybe i can update if it makes it to 200k in 4 years.

  28. Thanks Scotty!!! You're everyone's favorite mechanic!!😄😄 I was thinking of buying the Kia soul to save money and gain some more space from my small ford, but I think you've swayed me to a smarter choice!

  29. Back when I used to drive 6th gen civics I would have said Honda over Toyota. 90's Hondas have stood the test of time. D16 engines being the most abused are top notch and there are still plenty on the road. I drive an 8th gen SI now. I've owned it for 5 years. Its has 84k miles and I've had to fix more than I fixed on three 6th gen civics. Most recently the steering rack has developed end play/clunking (at 84k miles). Honda decided to omit end bushings on the electric rack. I have no option other than replacing the entire rack… Honda used to built quality and built up a reputation. Nowadays they've taken quality back a notch and are riding the wave of customers who think they're still what the used to be.

  30. Can't beat an old Ford or Toyota truck. Friend of mine has a tacoma with 264k on the clock and it still runs like a champ. I drive a 68 ford daily and even though the engine is beat to hell it just won't die. Computers aren't my style, I hate cars that run everything off of stupid little sensors. Get yourself something old and simple to fix. I'll drive my 68 until its too rusty, then patch up all the rust and rot and do it all again. Old GM isn't bad either, they made decent cars up until the 90s and early 00's

  31. Scotty, I just bought a used 2018 limited 6 cyl 4Runner made in Japan with 6k miles. Any difference in quality in mine vs made in good old USA ? Quality model/ year? Thanks

  32. So initially the Kia brand was poorly built. However since Hyundai has bought them out they have produced some great cars, with decent quality and an awesome warranty. We have had our 2011 soul since 2013, over 100k on the odometer and have never had a problem. Now with names like Stinger, Veloster and Telluride being produced by Hyundai/Kia I think their future is fine and the cars will meet your needs.

  34. Vid is pretty much spot on, although I'd like to hear why none of the euro brands mentioned, like VW. Only US car I would consider is Ford has come a long way, but I had a Ford SUV and it gave me big problems, and worse, Ford refused to fix it so they lost any future sales from me. People should also look on line as to reputation of CS of the company, and Ford ranked very as I found out the hard way. I tried to give a US maker a chance, also read Ford best of the US makes, and was very disappointment. Was the first and last US maker I will own.

  35. Scotty, can you please make a movie about the French trio Renault/Peugeot and Citroën? I know they are small brands in USA but the are big in the european car history. Then you make a separate film about the Citroën 2CV 😊

  37. Gm aint too terrible but i agree there are better cars but chrysler is the most horrible vehicle you can own buick aint too horrible thoe mine is 227,000 and still running strong with original motor

  38. Only Nissan you should consider buying is the Nissan Frontier. For some reason they can build them right, maybe because they never changed anything on it, except the look.

  42. Mazda is now #1. Warranty is the best in the industry, showing their trust in their products. Toyota and Honda? Not even close with their warranty.

  43. I’ve only owned GM vehicles: 2 Corvettes, 2 Avalanches, a Tahoe, Z28 Camaro, 4WD Blazer, and a 2002 Trans Am. Never had any problems. In fact, I’ve had the Trans Am since it was brand new and never had to do anything to it…or the others. My dad has a fairly new Ford Escape and it’s a piece of junk; before that he had several Jeeps…junk as well. My mother and my stepdad had several Fords…junk! So idk, maybe I just got lucky lol. Oh and my wife’s dad had a 1985 Chevy S10….he drove it for years, then she drove it for years, 2 of her brothers drove it forever…it had over 500,000 miles on it! It’d still be running if her younger brother hadn’t totaled it by hitting a deer.
