  2. Wish I saw this video before
My front passenger hub assembly and bearings are bad. Theres a wire hanging out. Heard same roaring noise, sounded like driver side, but it was the passenger side
I guess it was bad a few days because two days in a row while on cruise control, my abs and traction control would go off.

  3. Hello Scotty i had a noise in the front of my 03 corolla 235K km on the odometer. I was planing to change tires and front struts and link kit and get it aligned. After work done the front right wheel still have a loud noise at 90km/h (55mph). What can be wrong ? I had a bearing changed on the driver side few months ago and the noise was not speed specific. Can it still be a bearing problem? Thanks !

  4. My rotor is wobbly does that mean it is worn out by the stud holes? Or can it be the wheel bearing? When car is on jack stands I can wobble the rotor at 3 and 9 and 12 and 6 etc but the caliper doesn’t budge any help appreciated

I'm trying to replace the hub assembly on my Mitsubishi L200.
Managed to get all the bolts undone but the old hub is stuck fast in the holder knuckle.

How do I free it up?? I've tried hammer and chisel, penetrating spray, but no luck it just won't budge

  15. Hey Scotty, I hope you can answer this , I bought a whole new wheel bearing hub, when installing it from the pressure to put it on the axle the wheel bearing opened up I the it's the trust washer. I torqued everything and my wheel doesn't move back and forward so it does seem good, but while driving I can hear a noise (like I'm driving on a train track) , do I need to replace everything again or could it be something else that is grinding (parking brake? brake discs ?) I hope you can answer ! Thanks !

  16. Hi Scotty. I have a question. I have a Mondeo 2 ltr with sealed wheel bearings. Some say you can pump greese down the ABS sencer hole on some cars. Others say you can use a pick to get the seal off and pump greese direct in to bearings then replace seal. What do you think.

  22. Hi Scotty, I tried emailing you but your page seems to not work for me for some reason. I have a 2005 Toyota Avalon and it pulses when I slow down or hit the brakes. I've changed the front rotors, pads, inner and outer tie rods with no luck. What could it be? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  23. Or, buy the whole assembly at the self service wrecking yard, and you won't have to worry about studs and rings. Then it's just R&R. Followed by the other kind of R&R. Hee-haw!

  24. Honda dealer charged me $180 labor for this. $200 for part. After taxes $420. After getting the car from dealer noise was still coming and i noticed they changed the wrong side. But dealership won’t accept their mistake. Now I will change myself and save $180. Thanks Scotty!!

  32. Hi, I got VW Passat b6, I changed the shocks absorbers on the front and after a month a noise coming from the wheels I think, when I m driving with 20-30mph also when I brake as well the noise sound as something is braking. I been to the service they test my car and I took the mechanic with me for a ride and they can’t find the issue also they said that’s not problem at all I can drive, it’s safe. But the noise it’s really horrible. When I driving over 30-70mph ,no noise at all and not issues. Do you have any idea what can be please ?

  33. Theres that noise driving me crazy after a crash i had with my 14 kia sportage.. i think the insurance company doesn't want to replace if for me after the accident they only fixed the body of the car.n today im going to see if i can see if they changed it or not.. now the guy is telling me the one in the back is making the noise.. and was not caused by the accident.. i dont believe him

  34. Make sure to wipe your rotor off to make sure it's clean to prevent squeaks later down the road. Also clean the wheel bearing where it comes in contact with thetl rotor, another cause of squeaks

  39. Can a bad rear wheel bearing make your rear brakes fell like you have a warped rear rotor? I ask because I have a 2002 ford f150 and the rear brakes were behaving like the rotor was warped. I replaced the rotors but the pedal still vibrates when I brake. It is not the front brakes because I do not feel any vibrations in the steering wheel when I brake. Any help is apreciated.

  40. Darn but how much does it cost tho? I already took a hit replacing the front struts and getting an alignment. Still need new tires in the back. I’m also behind on my bills. Fml 😭😭😭 haha

  41. Hmm idk there’s a noise coming from my back tires when i accelerate. It sounds like I’m driving over snow. And it sounds intermittently. Does a bad wheel bearing make noise that’s consistent, or does it come and go?
Also when im driving at low speeds and take my foot off the accelerator, the car immediately comes to a stop, like not shutting off, just no motion and then there’s like a CRACK sound before it stops 😖. I’m scared. Sounds like something’s stuck in my back tires but I check and there’s nothing. HELP

Oh and I should probably mention that my back tires are uneven tread? 6 and 4
