Lightweight bikes are quicker up climbs, right? Well, not always! In fact on average, an aero bike will be faster up anything less than a 6% gradient and even steeper for stronger riders. The new Cannondale is said to be the fastest racing bike to date and there are some strong stats to back this up. Will we get to the point where the whole pro peloton is only using aero bikes?
