Blake’s Bike Packing Adventure Round The Isle Of Wight | GMBN Epic Rides

After a great mountain bike packing adventure in Wales with Neil, Blake wanted to challenge himself to ride, film and edit another GMBN epic completely by himself. Circumnavigating the island he calls home in the south of England over a long weekend, Blake shares with us some of the local history, sights and sounds from the saddle.

  13. Greetings from Lithuania!!! I was working/kinda doing practice at my friend's bicycle shop/workshop "bikeUlike" in Porthsmouth a couple summers ago, so one day we did half island tour with fat bikes and next time me and my girlfriend did second half with road bikes, so I very recommend you to go there and ride with any kind of bike 🙂 Or if you are from somewhere not near Porthsmouth, then visit "bikeUlike" (you can rent fat bikes there) and go to Isle of Wight then!!! By the way this video brought me back to a lot of memories, thank you, I will go to ride a bike now 😀

  26. I 1st cycled the Isle of White back in 1990 on a road bike. It was great, even with the rain that started to pour down half way through my ride. It was cold but a blast! I did the entire island in one ride.

  32. Blake nice vid mate…The big black and white thing ….GR stands for George Regina ie it was built during the reign of king George 1932-1952 I think its purpose is as a day mark for ships for navigation in the solent/channel.

  33. Just read your post (30/11/2019) and I think you will find (as someone already pointed out!) It was Queen Victoria not Elizabeth. So sack those researchers, they are crap!

  34. Great vid! pro tip: take a lightweight hammock – in some terrains it's hard to find a level spot to pitch a tent 🙂
