  1. These "bike of the year"nominees are kinda depressing to me… Doesn't say a lot about the innovation and technology in road cycling. 3 "new retro" bikes and 2 track bikes????

  2. Mhh, those app links don't work for me…app opens but just a blank screen and 'tap to retry' button…

  3. I really enjoyed this episode. It was great fun to see the top offerings for the year. I loved the retro bikes, but then again, I'm a bit long in the tooth. Steel has always seemed to be the best material for a bike frame to me.

  4. The reason why we celebrated the 38th anniversary is that this year's Giro d'Italia finished in the Verona Arena just like in 1981 😉 Thanks guys for featuring the Arena 1981 in such a special Tech Show!

  5. The bike vault should really be called the moneyed cyclist bikes, maybe it should be about more than really nice fancy bikes that only the well off or professional can obtain. Make it more about thoughtful builds and the functionality of them. Just a thought

  6. Was going to upload a photo of the top tube with my daughter's name on it but seems it's not an option. Happy to share GCN if proof is needed

  7. That Colnago bike is such a gimmick! Brakes, leavers and the drivetrain and even skewers are not gold plated! Not to mention the seat post and wheel braking surfaces. I bet, there is no gold under the handlebar wrap. What a ripoff!

  8. Jon, I just have one question for you: did you personally retrieve the bell from a rubbish bin where it was so insidiously placed by mr. Richardson a few videos back?

  9. Italian bikes are the stuff of dreams but it is unreal that Colnago makes a bike that few if any of their fans can actually afford to buy. I dig that special models come with a special price tag, but fifty-grand is just ridiculous and a real mother for ya.

  10. A kid called Claris would Sora-lly be happier. It would be the Apex of the class’ name-list, eventually winning a Tourney

  11. Could someone ask Dan the the "shows" link is on the GCN app. Or am I in the wrong country to get the shows link. I am from England if this make a difference.

  12. Here you go GCN, Very useful piece of tech. Acoustic treatment for GCN Tech Room, Acoustic Foam tiles to damp down the reflections, it will make the recordings sound like the BBC. Your Room Sounds Awful and has done for far too long. This is positive feedback for the GCN TECH CHANNEL……………………………

  13. So is the US Army going to go to war with the guy buys this because he's a dictator like a gold-plated AK-47

  14. I like Oliver Naesen's Eddy Merckx steel ride – looks amazing and is the only offering that is almost affordable!!

  15. It's pronounced "duh-looth" with emphasis on the second syllable. When you all visit Minnesota to visit the 3rd best cycling state in the U.S. and number one cycling city (Minneapolis) in the U.S. we can help you with the pronunciation.

  16. A friend who knows I love bikes gave me an old department-store bike and the cranks are stamped with Custom. So there's another name.

  17. Would you please be so kind and straight the tools on the wall so I can follow the show. And when fixing the background please add the missing screwdriver too, thank you in advance.

  18. I was hoping my upgrade would have been chosen for the top 5 upgrades, but alas. However I like the nominations you made. But I'm more sad at the fact I've been waiting in vain for my Camelbak water bottle since August 🙁

  19. Hahahhaaaa, you two are great together, should do more segments, loved the special visual and sound effects; MORE PLEASE. How about some realist new bikes of the year, ones that the average bloke can actually afford and ride.

  20. Your choices for the bike of the year leaves me with a kind of numb feeling of disbelief. None of these bikes resemble any relevance, usability or availability for mere mortals. What is the bloody point of this dumb exercise?? I used to be a real fan and watched a lot of GCN footage, but I find the some GCN offerings a lot less attractive for quite some time now. I don't even watch the GCN Show anymore ( something I used to really look forward to). I think that GCN got too big for it's own good and consider to unsubscribe ( although the bike maintenance videos are great). Hit the kill switch @ 4:41.

  22. That Park Tool Board is getting quite messy, your New Years resolution should be to maintain those tools

  23. the hope bike's philosophy is to get rid of the venturi effecits created by the forks and seatstays. Now that the brexit seems likely to happen since the general election in the UK. My primary concern was not education or the NHS, but would I be able to get continental tyres as reasonably as I currently do. I found the GP5000 for £30 online- absolute bargain 🙂

  24. I have to say that Dan is looking lean, fit and rosy cheeked with health. Does he now think that the result of that ‘1K per like’ was a blessing in disguise? I’ve seen the money raised. Just brilliant. That said, a shame that less than 300 people could stump up a tenner but still time to donate yet!

  25. your selection for new bike of year is boring & off the mark totally. So many great new bikes and you went with steel and TT!!!!??! Time to find new bike nerd channel
