3 Guys, 3 Cars, 3 Days, $5K each | How did our cars fare at auction?

At Hagerty, we are big proponents of the idea that you don’t need to be a millionaire (or even a hundred-thousand-aire) to get into the classic car hobby. To put that theory to the test, back in July we dropped three Hagerty employees in Nashville, Tenn. each armed with $5,000 and one goal: To find the very best example of a collector car and drive it to Auburn, Ind., to consign it to Auctions America’s fall sale. The results are in, and there was one clear winner. Subscribe! |

  16. You should be heading South to Orlando FL. Because there is a used car delarship that is very reliable. Its called offleaseonly. CHECK IT OUT! You will be surprised for what you will find

  17. I would actually look for a car worth around 1k, spare money on detailing, and percentage wise theres a bigger chance of getting a higher profit, say I buy a car for 500€/$ and sell it for 1000€/$ I make 100% profit, if you compare it to a car you buy for 2500€/$ and sell it for 3000€/$ I make a mere 20% profit. notice the difference?

  18. Really? A 78 MonteCarlo was definitely a used car? When you say crap like that, do you REALLY not realize how stupid you appear?

  19. By the way, to make this legitimate. Your gas money going to see these cars should be taken out of the 5K.
